So, hello human who will right me femslash.

I really like smut but I will read anything you write me. I love Josephine. I love rare pairings. I love all femslash. I like humour, romance, drama, angst if there is a happy ending, aus... It's actually easier to tell you what not to write.

No heavy BDSM. I don't mind some light BDSM.
No self harm. Or suicide.
No watersports or scat.
No high school AUs.
No non-con. No mentions of non-con. No dub-con.

For the Inquisitors/Wardens/Hawkes:

I'm happy with most versions and names (though nothing overly weird) but I do have things I prefer.

Josephine/F!Trevelyan - I like warrior Trevelyan who wields a greatsword.

No mage Adaars.

Purple Hawke.

Any wardens.

Just wanting to let y'all know-- still alive.

Been busy at home, been busy at work and due to all the time I've spent on icons, I'm taking an icon break/hiatus of a few weeks in which I get my stuff together and get inspired again. They say to not wait for inspiration but sometimes that's what you have to do!

Love y'all!

[community profile] mmom is running again for 2019!

The challenge? To post a masturbation fic for every day in May.

31 days. 31 stories. All involving masturbation in some way (doing it, talking about it, watching it, we're easy...)

Any fandom, any genre, any character, any pairing or moresome. As long as wanking is involved somewhere, we'll take it.

We ask that stories are at least 100 words long, although there's no upper limit.

If you don't feel like you can do all 31 days, then please feel free to post for as many days as you want to - even if that's just one day out of the month. It's great if you can do all 31 days, but we're not going to turn down any wank ;)

The AO3 collection is here, for those that want to post there: https://archiveofourown.org/collections/MMoM2019

This month's theme was 3 sentences and as such I decided not to post them here but to do a roundup of all four pieces from the professional blogs.

3 sentence fic: April Showers

She wakes to the sound of rain against the windows. Outside the flowering primroses and the late blooming narcissi will be grateful for the rain, as will be the tulips tucked safe inside their buds and the freshly sown leek and calendula seeds slumbering just below the surface of the rich compost. It's early and so she snuggles back beneath the covers, warm and safe, soothed by the gentle pitter-patter of the vital spring shower.

3 sentence fic: Unusual Employment

Alex did not date corporate types, tending to prefer the quirkier personalities of second-hand bookstore owners, llama farmers, chocolate tasters, hippotherapists, and teddy bear technicians.
This latest one though had, over a second whisky, said "demonologist" which at first sounded like dermatologist but no, he insisted, demonologist. That wasn't really a thing, was it?

Hippotherapist: Hippotherapists are also called therapeutic riding instructors and equine therapists. Hippotherapy is the practice of riding horses as a form of therapy for children and adults who experience disabilities. https://www.trade-schools.net/articles/unique-careers.asp

3 sentence poem: Pancakes

Fresh free-range eggs, spring yellow yolks stark against the sieved flour, whisked with a pinch of salt.
Hot oil sizzling in the pan, crackling in delight as the smooth creamy mixture is added.
Delicious pancakes served onto warmed plates awaiting any number of toppings to be added as desired.

3 sentence fic: Signs of Spring creative nonfiction

The first lawn cutting of the year marks a turning point, the green spring scent speaks of growth and good weather and of tending the garden. Spring is also evoked by the scent of compost , the feel of the rich earth on fingertips as plants are potted and beds weeded . Not forgetting the wonderful sight of rainbows made by watering the plants, their flowers unfurled to bask in the sunlight, attracting the buzzing bees and resplendent butterflies to taste their nectar.

Call in sick to work.

Freaked her out enough that she left work early, yesterday, because I was home alone.

Long story short: I'm fine. Had a migraine that was strong enough I couldn't really get to the bathroom, so I sure wasn't going to try and get behind the wheel.

Anyway... back to work, today, and trying to get used to my new keyboard, which is smaller than the old one, and clicks a lot more....... but my Shift-key works! \O/

Went to see a friend for Easter and that was fun, even though the drive was too long (closer to 4 hours). We didn't really do much, watched some youtube videos, the Beyonce Coachella concert on Netflix and played some board games. We also went to grill some sausages outside, which is the only place where you should ever eat sausages tbh.

It's that time of year when I'm looking for a new job. My current job is okay, but there's to much driving and I don't want to do that for much longer and definitely not for another winter. Also my boss is a jerk, so that is a factor also.

There's a job opening in my home town and I think that might be nice for a while. I think it would be nice to live near my mom, also built in pet sitter for when I want to travel, with much less hassle than it's been for these past few years. I think I'll send an email to the job and ask a few details.

There's also another job I was eyeing, mostly because it has school counselor stuff built in, which I think I might like, but it's really hard to get your foot in the door of without any experience.

Oh and D&D tonight! whoo, maybe we'll get to level 3 after this session. (I want those oath powers damnit!)

Then some TV stuff:

The longer I'm away from being a regular tumblr user, the more I understand how it lapsed into silence and being quite difficult to maintain friendships on. I want to use my newer one a bit more than I do - to post thoughts as pretty gifsets mainly - but at the same time I think that now that I don't feel compelled to keep up with a never-ending dash anymore that I could probably just find a way to actually vid again. Twitter is much the same as tumblr in that your timeline is, effectively, endless, but its algorithms being so wonky about what they actually show you actually make it easier to keep up with a bunch of twitter accounts at once.

Japan a week from today. Well, assuming that my visa situation works out. I sent it out on Thursday, and it got returned to sender on Saturday because the girl at Office Depot gave me the wrong kind of envelope and apparently the postal service simply cannot deliver priority mail in an express envelope. I really don't know what that's about. I guess they can't be bothered to read? I don't know how this policy benefits anyone at all. It's not as if they're actively making money that way. I don't get it.

I ended up having to go to UPS and finagle a way to get it there by tomorrow, so now I've gotta call the Japanese Consulate and plead for them to attend to it very quickly once it gets there. If it doesn't happen on time, I could be like at least $500 and MUCH more stress deeper in this thing.

On another note, I wish I could interact with fandom more easily lately. I really want to do things like talk meta, write fic, be creative, but I feel like everything is running through a filter that I just cannot seem to engage with. It makes me sad. Turns out I posted about this last time, too?

Happy Easter 🐣

Wishing everyone a Happy Easter holiday! Mine was spent with a few of my sisters, my two nephews and grandmother. Unfortunately my third sister was too tired to attend as she just got out of hospital after having my niece, Mia last Monday. Though, it was a natural birth my sister stayed longer as she lost a litre of blood and needed a blood transfusion, but she’s fine now. I ended up having a little visit and got to see her again (though she was fast asleep) as we ended up dropping off some food to them. So that was my Easter, I hope everyone had a great Easter too :)

I have eaten an entire plate of chocolate and kickstarted a super cute set of tabletop cat miniatures, Happy Easter to me.

Today is also my tenth dreamwidth anniversary. HOW. What even is time. My intro post is still dated 2020, from lj days of yore where we had no stickies and we made a post that would stay on top forever. I guess we're living in the future.

At least the future has VR. And even more so now, with PS5 confirmed to have backwards comparability, including the PSVR. Cranky I left home just as Falcon Age, Ghost Giant, and Table of Tales came out, but very happy to see they've all been reviewed well, especially GG. Fingers crossed ToT does well enough to get some DLCs, more tabletop simulators with neat mechanics and branching storylines is A+ in my book.

While you're here, check out this lovely Notre Dame tribute somebody built in No Man's Sky =)

(sorry for all the PSVR chatter, I know nobody cares. I've actually unlocked my twitter so I can participate in conversations there. Let's hope the horde doesn't find me!)

So tired.

Just...tired. And I thought tomorrow would be a day off, but it will not be. It will just be the same damn grind. Ugh. Day off on Tuesday.

I should be doing a big, bouncy, happy promotional post, since the e-book of The Sacrifice is out and I should be spamming it about everywhere. But I was anticipating the paperback dropping at the same time and it hasn't, I'm still waiting to hear the actual when/where of how to order those and when I get my copy, and combined with how damn TIRED I am, I'll do the spam post when I have all the info. I'm feeling too lazy to even rummage on Amazon for the link to buy the thing.

If you want it anyway, despite my not selling it worth a damn here, I have the JMS bookstore link open, at least, https://www.jms-books.com/erotic-romance-c-29_94/the-sacrifice-p-2746.html

Anyhow. Monday, I guess, I'll do a big push and promote it around. Maybe even publish a bonus scene I've got that didn't make it into the book.

So damn tired.

Writing and Knitting

I've had a hell of a time with my arms the past two weeks. Initially, I thought I had strained them during physical exercise. Then I thought maybe it was an RSI. Now I just don't know. Joint pain that comes and goes from various joints, muscle aches that comes and goes in various places, tendon pain that shows up from nowhere and disappears just as suddenly. I have no clue.

In any case: I can't knit as much as I usually do. I've removed all purling and learned to mirror knit and I've put a timer of 15 minutes that I'm allowed to knit before I take at least 15 minutes break. I hope it will help.

Turns out that coming up with things to do during those breaks is rather annoying though. So far I've picked up origami and making knitting markers. Today, I started writing a story in the Narnia Charn universe - Susan's story in fact, since I've had it sitting in the back of my head for ages. It's interesting to see how the story develops as I write - I never plan but let the story grow inside of my head.

I sorta hope it will become something I can post - the Charn universe has a lot of stories that I could probably write.

I have a million things I could be doing. Want to be doing, in fact. They all have to do with being on this computer (my desktop) and fixing things.

I'm finally fixing my fic list and the kpop one as well (although I'm currently just on the fic list because it's Arashi and Prince of Tennis). That means I'm going to fix the Fudomine table just so I can find the crossover! *sigh* I didn't plan that well. I could have done a much better job. Hm....

I also have my daily writing that I want to consolidate into one document, and that takes some copying and pasting as well, so I'm sort of... gah! Gah. It's so not fun, you know? It actually sucks.

So I'm stuck between the two.

I don't know what to do. I really don't. I knew this would take forever. But man, I didn't expect it to be quite this big, you know? Serves me right, for writing so much.

And on top of everything else, Maggie's site came out. She's late to school again - and I swear, I'm too suspicious. I wonder too often if she does it on purpose. She's going to end up at summer school again. I don't even know.

ETA: oh, right. The bills. Those have to be done first.

There is going to be a lot more Princess icons-- as I've been rereading the series, I've put many pictures in my to-be-edited folder. That is why I haven't really made icons for the past couple of days-- both catching up with TV and re-reading the series. I even added some old favorites to my icon rotation a long with applicable lyrics. I want to write fic, I want to create a fanmix for the series. I WANT TO BE THE PRINCESS FAN THAT THE WORLD NEEDS! (since there is probably only like 3 of us that exists in this world!

Everyone have a Leo icon!

Also gee, I hope my manga colouring skills haven't grown rusty! -_-

Keep forgetting about this!

It'll be out Saturday!

It's a "real" novel in two senses, one it's actually novel-length rather than a short story or novella, and two it will be available in a physical format as well as an e-book. As this is my first time having a physical book come out, I am not exactly sure how that works. There are no pre-orders, so I believe you can just buy it on Saturday and it will ship immediately thereafter.

I haven't gotten my copy yet either, I assume they're just being frugal since JMS puts the "small" in "small press" and will be sending mine with the first batch of orders.

The cover is, as always, nothing whatsoever like the contents of the book! :D I've been describing it to people as "Harry Potter, only shorter, gayer, and with more vampires." Well, "more" being "one," but I don't think HP has a vampire proper? Just Voldy creepily drinking unicorn blood? It's a fairly classic coming of age story, about a young man who considers himself worthless enough to volunteer when his village is having a terrible famine and the aging priest of the old gods asks for a human sacrifice. Over the course of the story he discovers that he is of worth after all, and in some fairly surprising ways. It's loosely historical, set somewhere in Europe and somewhere around the 700s, but it's not strictly historically accurate at all. I figure it's at least Anne Rice accurate, and people liked those, right?

Anyway, I've no idea how well it'll do, but I hope people like it. I think it's great, but I might be biased.

In related news, JMS also just accepted another novella from me, "Three of Hearts", which will be out in June. Just as an e-book, but still. That one's maybe not as "good" a story as The Sacrifice, judged strictly on literary merit, but it's basically a giant pile of all my favorite things. The main character is trans, it has people who are cool about that and not just bigots, it has vampires, and it has a threesome, as the title suggests, plus there's just a dash of D/s involved. Very fun.

Good things in the pipeline!

So I didn't mention the... I don't know what to call it.

Yesterday, the children didn't have school. Over 100 schools - elementary, middle, and high schools, public and private - closed because some idiot woman, 18 years old, came to Colorado. She was being watched by the FBI because she'd talked about being infatuated with Columbine, and the shooters.

Saturday is the 20 year anniversary. This woman got off the plane, bought a pump action shot gun, and was last seen heading toward the foothills. So, no one went to school yesterday. It was weird, sort of, because... well, because the people were so worried. School was closed at 12:00 midnight (yes, that's when I got the call) between Tuesday and Wednesday (she arrived on Tuesday).

They found her on Wednesday morning not too far from where I am, apparently having committed suicide.

I couldn't even be upset at this. I was thinking about that because of how I usually react when the school gets closed for weather. When they close school because of the threat of snow. I guess... it's because the weather just is. It's not out to get us, it's purpose is not to kill someone. it's there because conditions exist and if we get in the way and if someone gets hurt, well, that was bad luck. I didn't begrudge anyone that missing day. I didn't get things done as much as I would have liked, but that didn't bother me.

I don't know. It's all very weird, very strange, because I really didn't know how I felt about it yesterday. I'm glad they cancelled school, even if they didn't technically need to, but in this case, definitely better safe than sorry. It disrupted a lot of schools - but not nearly as much as another school shooting might have.

To those who prayed and sent thoughts that they'd find her, that no students would be hurt, thank you.

ETA: it wasn't 100 schools that closed yesterday, it was 1000.
